Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Klixo sites are built to be search engine friendly without sacrificing usability.  This means that not only does the site work well for the end user, with a clean interface and easy navigation, it also indexes well in search engines such as Google, making sure your site will appear for relevant search terms.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is a term thrown around by "specialists" who promise to put your site on the front page of Google, for a price.  The reality is that the best way to rise up search engine rankings is to have a solid, well programmed site, to have relevant content written for your human audience (unless you are targetting off-planet markets of course) and to keep your site up to date.

Search engines such as Google and Bing are well aware of the dark arts of SEO specialists. Trying to game the system is more likely to push your site down than up.  In fact if you are really dodgy you may find you don't appear at all.

It is important to note that ranking in search results (with the first page of Google being the main aim) depends on a number of factors (over 200) such as the ranking of competing sites, the number of incoming links to your site, and the frequency of relevant content being uploaded to the site. We never promise to put you on the front page, but the reality is that our sites enjoy pole position more often than not.
