This article is a guide to adding advertisements to a page on the At Home Care website. There are two types of ads that can be added to most pages on the site:

1. Vertical Ad - this advertisement is displayed under the left hand menu
2. Horizontal Ad - This advertisement can be displayed in two places, if there is an "ABC" links area on the page the advertisement will be displayed above this. The Horizontal Ad will always be displayed at the bottom of the listings.

In these advertisement areas you can insert any kind of content you would like e.g. images, short stories, links, flash files, however there are a few guide lines to go by for both types of advertisements

• Vertical Ad Area
  • The area allocated on the page for these advertisements is 132px wide the height can be what ever you would like to use depending on the length of the page you are adding the advertisement to. The recommended height is 200-300px

  • When adding text make sure that long words are not used as this will cause the text to move outside of the div, this is mainly a problem when adding email addresses or URLs, in cases such as these please use a text link e.g. "Click here".
• Horizontal Ad Area
  • The area allocated on the page for these advertisements is 540px wide the height can be what ever you would like to use. The recommended height is 70px.

 Creating the Advertisement story

• Log into the Klixo Website Manager ( http://klixo.net.nz/klixo )

1. Go to the "stories" section of the Klixo Website Manager
2. Select the "Page Advertisements" channel
3. Click the "New Story" button
4. In the Klixo Website Manager go to the Stories section
5. Select the "Page Top Stories" channel
6. Create a new story
   • Insert a Story Title
     - The Story Title is not used on the page
     - Make sure the Story Title describes the content of the Advertisement and the type e.g.  Other Information Wide
   • Select the Story Type
     - This is a new field underneath the Description Field
     - Depending on the type of Advertisement you are creating select either "Vertical Ad" or "Horizontal Ad"
   • Add advertisement content into the Story Body field
     - You can format this story however you would like, but keep in mind where this story is on the page in terms of space on the page for the story.
   • Save Story

Adding the Advertisement story to a page or pages.

• Go to the pages section of the Klixo Website Manager
• Click the "settings" link for the page you would like to add your Advertisement story to.
• Under the "Channels" section there is a new section call "Stories"
• Click the "Add" button (A pop up window will appear)
• Select the "Page Advertisements" channel from the drop down box
• Check the check box of the story you would like to add to the page e.g Other Information Wide 
• Click the "Add" button
• Save the page
• Then you will need to publish the page you have added the story to

1. You should now see your story on the page.
2. You can add your Advertisement story to as many pages as you would like.
3. Each time you edit an Advertisement story you will need to publish the page manually in order for your changes to appear on the website.
